The UK based malmaison chain of hotels is small, some might say exclusive. There are currently only 12 Malmaison hotels in the whole of the UK. However, what this hotel chain lacks in numbers is more than made up for in style and character.
All of the hotels are 5 star and most are located in the heart of the city at their respective venues. The Edinburgh Malmaison was the first in the chain and is located in the city’s vibrant and trendy Leith district. It is located in an old, imposing building which is located, quite literally, a stone’s throw away from the Forth and has views over the Water of Leith.
The Queen’s old private yacht, the Royal Yacht Britannia is only a few minutes walk away and the busy Leith area is full of bistros and shopping areas for tourists to enjoy.
Edinburgh city centre is only a few minutes away by bus or taxi and you certainly won’t be stuck for things to do in this wonderful historic city.
