Storm Damage Covered by Home Owner Insurance
Two days after the storm, our insurance agent came to the house and delivered a check to cover the storm damage. We got an estimate from the contractor who came out in the storm to cover our roof. He gave us a fair price for the repairs and we told him to start as soon as possible. We decided to hire a tree removal service to cut down the old trees behind the house. No way do I want to go through this ordeal again. I am so thankful that we have good home owner insurance and it paid to repair all the damage that occurred. Along with the exterior damage, our bedroom ceiling had to be replaced, the room repainted, and the carpet and furnishings replaced. It was nice to redecorate, but not under these circumstances.
