Prostate Cancer can be Treated

For many men, the reality of prostate cancer is all too real. A positive diagnosis of any type of cancer is frightening enough, but for men, prostate cancer offers a unique set of challenges. For the most part, the treatment on prostate cancer depends on where the tumor is and whether or not is had spread to surrounding tissue, primarily the lymph nodes. If the tumor is contained within the prostate, then radiation or hormone therapy are good options. If the tumor has gone outside the prostate, then a surgical removal of the prostate carries a better cure rate. There are certain side effects with all types of treatment, however.
