Help for Alcoholics is Difficult to Provide
Providing help to alcoholics is never easy, because those who are actively drinking are typically in a mode of self destruction. They cannot necessarily help themselves at this point unless they choose to surrender their will. If this happens then it is quite easy to help them actually, just suggest something positive and they will do it.
Giving help for alcoholics is never this easy though when they are still resisting the idea of change. In order to move them closer to surrender, make sure you are not enabling them in any way. If you are constantly rescuing them when they screw up because of their drinking then they will never change.
