The Online World is in Need for a Renaissance

My Analysis On “Oil CEOs on the Hot Seat”

Why do we constantly rehash this same debate every time gas prices go up? Cars do not run directly off of oil. Cars run on gasoline or diesel fuel which must be made in refineries. When the last new refinery was built in the US, Gerald Ford was President. My state has trouble keeping prices down because the pipeline capacity from the nearest refineries, which are several states away, is inadequate because the population of the states in between has grown considerably over the past few decades.

You want lower gas prices? Then tell the government and all the NIMBY folks to stop balking at the building a few new refineries.

See more: cars.
