Jewish Cultural Museum on Fifth in NY
More than 26,000 objects fill the Jewish Museum, which is located on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. Visitors will be treated to paintings, sculptures, historical artifacts, and more. Everything in the museum is important to the preservation of the Jewish culture, and you will want to see everything once you begin exploring the museum. Many of the antiquities held in the museum are thousands of years old. You will also see photographs taken over the past hundred years that chronicle Jewish life. Paintings from Jewish artists are also prominent in the museum. In addition, you will find a media center at the museum that has more than 100 television and radio shows that you can watch from the Museum’s National Jewish Archive of Broadcasting. You could spend several visits just looking through these digital files! This media center is currently located on the third floor. You can also explore the permanent exhibit called Culture and Continuity: The Jewish Journey. It traces the history of the Jews for more than 4,000 years. Between the different exhibits and artifacts, you may find that there are enough different and interesting things to see at the Jewish Museum that you have to come back to see everything!
